Overview

Ages 8+
Degree offered

Tang Soo Do encompasses basic hand and kicking techniques, target and pad work, forms, weapons, self-defense, sparring, rolls and break-falls, and board breaking. The physical aspects of martial arts are used as tools for whole person self-improvement.

Equal emphasis is placed on polishing mental and physical fitness; students learn terminology and history while pushing their bodies with strength and flexibility challenges.

Students grow their leadership skills and have the opportunity to become internationally certified black belt instructors themselves. Tournaments and regional training clinics are available, although optional until black belt candidacy.
